Horley Station

Horley is the most southerly station we represent and is just north of Gatwick Airport. As the only station we represent that is situated on the Quarry Line (which bypasses Redhill) Horley has generally had a good peak time service to London. However the timetable changes of December 2008 removed a number of fast peak services to and from London. The off-peak service from Horley consists of three trains an hour in each direction. Northbound there are two stopping trains to London Bridge and one fast train to London Victoria calling at Redhill, East Croydon and Clapham Junction. The Southbound service consists of two stopping services to Horsham and one service to Bognor Regis and Portsmouth Harbour (splitting at Horsham).

Services from platform 1 are northbound towards Redhill, East Croydon and London. Services from platform 2 are southbound towards Gatwick and south coast destinations. Few services stop at platforms 3 and 4, as these are normally used by “fast” services avoiding Redhill via the Quarry Line.

Mertsham Station

Merstham station serves the village of the same name and is a couple of miles north of Redhill on the main line to London. It is served by regular trains to and from London at peak times, the off-peak service consists of a half-hourly stopping service between London Bridge and Horsham.

Services from platform 1 are northbound towards Purley, East Croydon and London. Services from platform 2 are southbound towards Redhill and south coast destinations.

Redhill Station

Redhill is the busiest station that we represent, it is on the main London – Brighton Main Line and is the junction of lines to both Tonbridge (via Nutfield and Edenbridge) and Reading (via Reigate and Guildford). Redhill has peak services to Bedford (via City Thameslink and St Pancras International), London Bridge and London Victoria.

Redhill is a busy station and all platforms can be used in either direction for trains to any destination. Please check before you travel.

Reigate Station

Reigate station is situated on the picturesque North Downs Line which runs between Redhill and Reading (via Dorking and Guildford). Until recently it had no off-peak service to London but the new timetable of December 2008 introduced an hourly service to London Bridge. With the introduction of this service there are now 3 trains an hour to Redhill (one continuing to Gatwick Airport and one to London as detailed above). In the other direction there is one fast service and one stopping service to Reading each hour.

Platform 1 is used for eastbound services towards Redhill and Gatwick airport. Services from platform 2 are westbound towards Guildford and Reading. Shuttle services between Redhill and Reigate may use either platform.

Nutfield Station

Nutfield station is situated on the Redhill – Tonbridge line and serves the village of South Nutfield. Prior to December 2008 the station had a half hourly off-peak service to Redhill and Tonbridge with one train carrying on to London Bridge. However this was cut back in the new timetable to one train an hour between Tonbridge and Charing Cross (now terminating at London Bridge). There is a continuing threat that Nutfield will lose its off peak service completely and this is something the association is fighting against strongly as, in addition to serving the local community the Redhill – Tonbridge line provides an essential connection between Redhill (and other stations on the Brighton line) and Kent.

Services from platform 1 are westbound towards Redhill. Services from platform 2 are eastbound towards Tonbridge.
